Sarah Grace Holcomb was awarded her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art where she became interested in performance and installation art. After graduating, she taught visual art within a Reggio Emilia early-childhood program in Baltimore. It was during this experience when she decided to pursue a career as a teaching artist.
Holcomb obtained her Master of Science in Art & Design Education from the Pratt Institute in 2012 and is a tenured faculty member of Edward R. Murrow High School, teaching drawing, sculpture and fashion. Additionally, she is a visiting assistant professor at Pratt Institute since the fall of 2016.
Holcomb continues to expand her studio and teaching practice daily and frequently collaborates with her partner Patrick Sandefur.
